Happy Halloween to all my bootiful readers! =D. I hope you all enjoyed your "Day of the Dead" festivities. It's the best day of the year in my opinion, it's the one day of the year where it's appropriate to scare little kids and potentially scar them for life, hopefully not to the latter. Today I did just that. I put on some face paint and some cute clothes and sat on a bench just glancing at people passing by. It did the trick. Now to the more pressing matter at hand, firecrackers. I'm all for lighting off the occasional firecracker in celebration but currently it sounds like World War 3 is going on outside my house. Seriously, shrapnel hit the windows. Do that all you want but remember to be safe and consider of the people around. That's all I'm asking. How did you guys spend your Halloween? Leave a comment and let me know!

Happy Halloween everyone! In the spirit of Halloween I thought I'd give my opinion on a horrifying movie I recently saw. The Raven is a murder mystery movie set during Edgar Allan Poe's last days. A killer takes inspiration from his stories and starts murdering people as a means to make Poe write again. Poe quickly becomes involved in solving the murders, especially when his fiance is taken by the killer. The premise doesn't sound that great but I quite enjoyed it. I usually don't enjoy remotely creepy movies so the fact that I liked one this downright horrifying surprised me. It was really visually appealing and really good at getting the point across, the majority of the film was spent with me hiding under a pillow saying "don't look" over and over while boyfriend constantly commented in a way that made it so I may as well have been looking. Halloween is on it's way in a few weeks and even though I'm to old to really enjoy the good old fashion trick or treating I'm excited. As far as holidays go, I think most are overrated excuses to spend money on nothing really worth spending it on but something about Halloween seems much more worth it.  Granted, Halloween does seem like another day to spend unnecessary amounts of money. However, Halloween holds a slightly magical quality. For one day every year children are granted access into their most fantastic of dreams to dress up as whatever they want to be. Your worries are left behind as you hunt through stores for the perfect costume and houses that give out the best candy. Besides candy and costumes you get to be as scared as humanly possible. Haunted houses open up, cheesy Halloween specials play, the streets get filled with decorations, and for once being afraid isn't frowned upon.
